STATEMENT OF BELIEF

Our support group has chosen to be a “restricted membership” group. This simply means that all members share the same basic beliefs concerning Jesus Christ. The following is what we consider to be basic to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is our "Statement of Belief". In order to become a member of Heritage Christian Homeschool Enrichment Group, one parent must be in agreement with this statement.

I believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative written Word of God. (2 Tim 3:16, Deut 4:2, Rev 22:18-19)

I believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matt 28:19, John 14:16-17)

I believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. (Matt 1:18-23)

I believe in Jesus’ sinless life. (2 Cor 5:21)

I believe that man was created in the image of God. (Gen 1:26)

I believe that man sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God. (Rom 3:23, Rom 6:23)

I believe marriage constitutes the union between one biological man and one biological woman. (Gen. 2:22-24, Matt. 19:4-6, Heb. 13:4-7, Mk. 10:6-9, I Cor. 7:1-16)

I believe God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin. (Gen. 1:26-27, Deut. 22:5, Matt 15:18-20, and 1 Cor 6:9-10)

I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. (Rom 5:8-9)

I believe that all who receive by grace, through faith, the Lord Jesus Christ, are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God. (Eph 2:8-9, John 1:12)

I believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ and His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His present work as High Priest and Advocate. (1 Cor 15:3-4, Mark 16:19)

I believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:11, 1 Thes 4:16)

I believe in the bodily resurrection of the just to everlasting life and the unjust to everlasting punishment. (Matt 25:46, Acts 24:15)

I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. (Rom 10:9)
